With a career launching in 1987, Thomas Stepien is an exceptionally talented DJ and a prolific producer whose influence bridges continents. A trained musician (trumpet and piano) and a relentless vinyl collector, Thomas has forged a sophisticated sonic identity at the crossroads of multiple genres.
Having lived near Detroit for five years, Thomas holds a profound and lifelong bond with the Motor City. He had the distinct honor of working as a host at the legendary Exhibit 3000, Detroit's only techno museum, and has performed at renowned events such as Tec-Troit. His dedication to the scene is unmatched, having covered 26 consecutive years of the Movement Festival for his radio show, documenting the evolution of electronic music from its very heart.
This deep-rooted connection to the birthplaces of Techno and House defines his signature sound: a masterful blend of Minimal, House, Acid, Electro, and Funk. His prowess as a top-tier producer is backed by releases on prestigious labels such as Soiree Record International (Detroit), Psycho Thrill (Cologne), and Gemini Records.
Currently based between Canada and France, he spearheads Bunkerbliss Music Distribution, specialising in Techno and House vinyl imports. Beyond his artistry, Thomas serves as a vital strategic bridge within the industry; he leverages his extensive global network and long-standing professional relationships to bring world-renowned DJs and producers to the UK stage.
As a legendary radio host since 1991 (currently hosting Vanguard Pulse on CJUM 101.5 FM), he brings his global network and sharp technical expertise to the MCJ Promotions collective. Alongside Mike Lion Anderson and Joe Smooth. Thomas is dedicated to curating House and Techno events of an unparalleled caliber.
